This booklet was written and designed by Michael Karchner, a third year veterinary student at Virginia Tech's Virginia Maryland Regional College of Veterinary Medicine. Michael recently completed a public-corporate clerkship with Middleburg Humane Foundation through MHF's partnership with Virginia Tech. His field of study is small animals and exotics and he will earn his DVM in 2023.
